Sometimes it feels like I’ve been standing still while the world runs laps around me. Its so easy to feel frustrated at your own lack of progress when you look around you and see people seemingly having perfect lives.
So easy to feel like nothing is happening and beat yourself up for not showing up.
But looking back at all the things I did this year, I realized that I actually was showing up.
Yes, I was showing up.
Not online, but at life.

I’ve been showing up for myself.
Last year I said I wanted to live independently. And I did. I started living solo, and now I’m paying my own bills, buying my own groceries, cooking my own food.
I even started going to the gym and meal prepping!
Some progress— not that much, but its honest work xd

I’ve been showing up for my family.
Told myself I wouldn’t miss family reunions once again because of “busyness”. So I didn’t.
- Attended reunions, went to Aurora fest with cousins
- Family photoshoot at our studio
- Enrolled in survival swimming lessons with other cousins + tita!
- and more

I’ve been showing up for my relationships.
If there’s one thing I’m particularly proud of my life right now, its the relationships I’ve built and nurtured.
I’m surrounded by people who genuinely cares about me; I am loved, and I have lots of love to give.
Caught up with old friends, scheduled (yes, google calendar is a requirement for adult friendships) meetups to talk about life or just have some fun time. It’s wild to think that I’ve known most of these people for more than half my life, and we’re still here keeping in touch.

Special mention to this guy, whoever he is ;p

I’ve been showing up for my dreams.
To be honest, I don’t know what my dreams are anymore after life happened and I lost my north star. Up until now, I’m still searching for it. I’ve been exploring and doing things I used to love in the hopes of reigniting that spark within me.
